To increase security, an optional two-factor authentication (2FA) is now available for My Workplace 2.0. This means that you need a one-time password (OTP) in addition to your e-mail address and a password to log in to your My Workplace 2.0 environment. It is generated by a smartphone app or a hardware token and is only valid for a few seconds at a time. The procedure is well known from e-banking and many cloud services and makes it considerably more difficult for attackers to access your data.
Two-factor authentication requires the additional input of a one-time password
2FA is optionally available and can only be activated globally for the entire company. This ensures that no individual users without 2FA remain as a potential target point and lower the protection level.

Technologically, the 2FA solution is directly integrated into the Citrix portal. For OTP generation, users can either use an Authenticator app such as Google Authenticator (Apple App Store / Google Play Store) or obtain a hardware token from us.
